For the past number of months, the TEFL Workers’ Union (IWW) has been in dispute with WE Bridge Academy based in Cardiff. The matter has now been resolved and both parties agreed to the following statement:
The TEFL Workers’ Union (IWW) is proud to report that we have resolved our dispute with WE Bridge Academy. At issue was the employment status of one of our members there. We have come to a mutually agreeable settlement. WE Bridge Academy has not admitted liability but has assured us that the employment status of all staff at the school will continue to be reviewed each year with their outsourced HR advisors to ensure any new employment law changes and implications are included.
