Labour English: Wage Theft

Far too often, employers look to skimp on paying their workers. Sometimes this means paying less than minimum wage, requiring employees to work off the clock, or denying entitlements like holiday pay or sick pay. In all these cases, it’s wage theft. Many of our students work in industries like hospitality or cleaning where wage theft is rife. This lesson aims to make students aware of what wage theft is, how it can be challenged, and include some interactive activities to build language (and class!) confidence.
