Labour English: Sexuality and Employment

Thankfully, we live in a world where there is increasing acceptance of LGBTQ+ individuals. But those of diverse sexualities and gender identies still face discrimination inside and outside the workplace.

Even within ELT, many resource books still present gay rights issues as a debate. As a union, we’re happy to host Peter Fullagar’s lesson plan on discrimination faced by LGBTQ+ at work. Discrimination and prejudice is not something to be debated. It is something to be challenged through education and solidarity. So we say thanks to Peter from creating and sharing this lesson plan.

This lesson plan, which originally appeared on Peter’s website focuses on the passive voice and is appropriate for intermediate level and above.
