The TEFL Workers’ Union is proud to be hosting an online event with JPB Gerald, author of the forthcoming book Antisocial English Language Teaching: English and the Pervasive Pathology of Whiteness.
We’ll be holding a zoom talk with JPB on the topic of alienation, exploitation, and racism within the English language teaching industry.
JPB will begin by discussing how he has analysed these issues in his book and how this can give us insight to challenging these problems in our everyday working lives. This will be followed up by a more open discussion and a question-and-answer session.
The talk is on Saturday 15 October at 4:00pm UK time. It is free and open to any and all workers in the ELT industry, union members and not-yet-union members alike.
