As part of our ongoing mission to make sure all TEFL workers know their rights and have the support they deserve at work, we’ll be running a “contract workshop” on November 12th in London.
For an hour and half, union reps will be available to look over your contract, check to make sure everything is above board, and answer any questions that you may have.
As a union, we’ve seen it all: bogus self-employment, admin time paid at under the minimum wage, contracts without holiday or statutory sick pay. It’s important that we all know what’s in our contract – and have the support of a union to make sure we’re getting everything we’re entitled.
The contract workshop will coincide with the annual general meeting of the London IWW. As with all of our events it’s free. Come by, grab a bite to eat (food provided!), and sit down with a rep who works in your industry.
The session is open to all TEFL workers, not just teachers and not just union members (no managers please!). If you work in an ELT school, the TEFL Workers’ Union has got your back!
Location: Waterloo Action Centre, LondonĀ (SE1 7AA)
Date: Saturday 12th November
Time: 1.00 – 2.30 pm
